US President Trump suddenly hinted that the tariff war between the United States and China may end,because he does not want tariff increases to cause people to be unwilling to consume.
Trump said at a White House press conference on Thursday (April 17): "I don't want tariffs to rise any further, because at a certain level, people will no longer be willing to buy things. So, I may not raise tariffs, and I may not even let it rise to that level. I may lower tariffs because you want people to buy things."
The United States' increase in tariffs on China has seriously affected American customers' demand for imported Chinese products.
